In late 1999, on the edge of a new century, Pale a.d. (herein referred to as 'PaLE') was formed.
The idea was that a new century should have a new sound, and since that time, that is just what PaLE has accomplished.

At that time PaLE was a live alternative techno-rock band comprised of 5 musicians with roots in some of the most critically acclaimed bands from eastern Canada. PaLE saw some changes in the Fall of 2003, Guitarist Phil Leury left the band to pursue his own interests, but the others remain to go on making music for a number of new projects, including television, movies and CD's.

The band now features:
Kevin Preece - Vocals, Rhythm Guitar,
Dino Falsetti - Bass,
Jeff Snider - Drums,
Howard Sonnenburg - Keyboards.

The diverse musical line-up of PaLE makes for an exciting new sound combining elements of rock and techno music, creating a hybrid of both, but attaining a unique sound to call their own. They have been compared to such groups as Orgy, Stabbing Westward, Nine Inch Nails and Econoline Crush, but only to certain elements of each. PaLE's history is also rich, featuring former members of Circus, Virus, Mad Dogs and Englishmen, and the Haunting. These former groups had all attained cult status in different ways, ranging from CD releases to national radio and video airplay. History, it seems, does repeat itself, as PaLE's accomplishments in just the first 2 years had rivaled and in some cases, surpassed each member's previous projects.

Being musicians from such a variety of musical tastes, backgrounds and training, PaLE have set out to experiment with different textures and sounds. Branding this musical style as 'Alternative Techno-Rock', they combine the energy of the guitar with the technology of the keyboard, blending techno loops and samples with unique drumbeats and multi-textured vocals throughout each song. PaLE has truly created a new and exciting type of music. But PaLE are unable to just limit themselves to this one style... A variety of projects ranging from atmospheric scores to swanky lounge music has also been created, showing that limits simply aren't known by this group.

PaLE has released singles (attaining airplay), recorded and released a conceptual EP (Information Overload), and have completed their full-length CD "Cutting Teeth" featuring all-new material. (available at www.entrancemedia.net)

The forum for the group has shifted, from live to studio...but the focus remains to make music. The artistic side of these individuals is really given an opportunity to show through, contributing to the goals of the overall team.
